Mother Earth approves. We begin by conserving wood. Compared to other cabinets of any type, the Luxe SmartBox
is designed to use less wood and generate less waste. The little waste that does occur is recycled. Sawdust,
for example, is re-used as fuel.

The California factor. Luxe uses the most environmentally sensitive finishes ever formulated, cutting VOC
emissions even lower than California’s requirements, which are the toughest in the country. All Luxe cabinetry
is made in California, the state most dedicated to protecting the planet. We’re not just green – we’re emerald!

The Lyptus story. All of the wood Luxe uses comes from sustainable lumber sources. Among it is a species not
widely available yet, Lyptus, This elegant hardwood comes from fast-growing eucalyptus trees cultivated on
well-managed plantations and harvested to sustainable certification standards. Not only is Lyptus a wonderful
example of a sustainable resource, but it is also a gorgeous hardwood, similar to mahogany in hardness and
tightness of grain, and able to take a variety of stains beautifully. It is an exotic that is, at least for
the present, reasonably priced.

Menu ordering adds value. Luxe’s SmartChoice menu-driven ordering system is an industry breakthrough. Almost
all other cabinetry companies restrict your choices and raise your costs by packaging features.

A distressing package, for example, might include elements you don’t really want, but the only way you can order
it is bundled. Its price is bundled, too, so you might pay, for example, a 25% upcharge on your entire order.
Luxe saves you money by letting you specify how much or little you want, and by applying the charge only where
the treatment is used, rather than on the whole order.
Besides saving you money, the ability to combine features as you wish opens the door to design freedom. Your
designer will see the advantages of this in a flash. (“Custom cabinetmakers will do this,” you say? Yes, we
would answer, but at prices few can afford and even fewer wish to afford.)
